Fair Trade Honey

Thinking Out Loud with Greg Long

Transcript:

The fair and ethical treatment of people is something that’s very near and dear to our hearts. So we’re always looking for ways to help people. And one of the cool things that we do, is that we have a program, that not only helps people, it helps the bees. We teach indigenous farmers how to raise bees. They’re coffee farmers, so their crops get more pollination, so they have more coffee to sell. And then in the off-season, the bees create honey, and then GloryBee buys that honey from them, so that they get to supplement their income that way, and we get some great fair-trade honey, that we get to sell to the public.
